Spring Time and Change go hand in hand

Spring Time and Change go hand in hand:

Here is how to Thrive on Change this season and always

Have you ever notices how some people seem to thrive on change. Are you constantly asking  yourself, How do they do it? How do some people manage change in a way that they not only survive, but also excel? They seem to make change work for them.  You most likely know someone that does this and we all know some of the famous people in our history that have accomplished this great task:  Martin Luther King, Jr., Margaret Thatcher, John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan and Mother Teresa —— with resolute courage and determination, these people stood squarely in the center of change and controversy. These great leaders created their own opportunities to fight for what they believed in. This is the challenge and opportunity for you.

5 Steps for Thriving in Change:

  1. Surround yourself with great people: Surrounding yourself with people that can challenge, motivate and empower you will help you to stay positive during any change in your life.
  2. Stay focused: People who can stay focused during changes will have a life that thrives, not one that just survives.
  3. Maintain a sense of control and balance.  Nothing can produce a positive change until you make the choice to make it positive. Yes, there are events that cause change, but you can choose how you react to the change. Take control. Remember that this is your life’s script, and you are the main character. Take positive and healthy action.
  4. Network and do not become isolated: Change can lead you to meet new and inspiring, helpful people, or it can lead you toward isolation. How you handle change can cause you to become afraid and turn inward, not wanting to share your fears, sadness, or anxieties with others. But during life transitions, change is easiest when you let others help.
  5. Focus on the positive benefits of change—watch your attitude: Use the change to help you develop more self confidence. believe that you can handle any situation.  Realize that you can re-align yourself with a plan and create an optimistic view of your future. Consider how you use a GPS when driving. Focusing on your future destination you plug in the answers to the following questions: “Where are you now?” And, “where do you want to go?” You are moving forward. As you handle the change in your life, celebrate your successes, small or large. You are on a journey we call life, and change is part of the process.
